2025 Kuhn GA Series 6002

Information

2025 Kuhn GA Series 6002

The unique frame design of the GA 6002 provides the flexibility to combine two windrows into one, or make two separate windrows, simply by swinging the position of the rear rotor. The 6002 is ideal for mid-size operations looking to reduce the number of passes across the field.

The KUHN GA 6002 trailed rotary rake is the ideal fit for you if you are planning to increase your crop raking performance while utilizing a low or medium horsepower tractor. Its raking width is hydraulically adjustable from 11’6” to 19’ – making varying crop densities, maneuvering around obstacles or finishing a field no problem.

The side-delivery design allows you to make multiple passes and combine a large number of windrows into one. However, in very dense crop conditions or for making night windrows to reduce dew on the crop, the GA 6002 can be set to form two windrows on each pass. With the parallelogram-style drawbar tongue, hookup is easy and its high lift height clears most windrows. Long flexible tines touch the crop just once, lifting and placing it neatly into the windrow. For crops such as alfalfa, this gentle handing, in conjunction with being able to rake when the hay is still damp, is especially beneficial as it ensures the leaves will remain intact.

Features may include:

Fully Enclosed Gear Case

The fully enclosed single-stage gearbox is grease filled and sealed to be maintenance free ensuring a long life. For additional durability, the tine arm holders are fixed on both the upper and lower gearcase covers. The gearbox houses a cam track with a profile optimized for fast lifting action that creates a well-formed windrow while maintaining high clearance over the windrow.

Double-Curved Tine Arms

Double-curved tine arms are designed to form fluffy and straight windrows for superior raking quality at high speeds. Fluffy windrows allow more air movement through the crop promoting fast and uniform drying!

KUHN rotary rakes achieve this by following two basic principles for ideal windrow formation. First, the tine arms maintain a positive forward position right up to the point where the forage is delivered to the windrow ensuring gentle crop handling and minimal ash incorporation. Second, a steep cam track allows the tines to be raised very quickly to provide additional clearance over the windrow.

One to Two Windrows

In addition to the side delivery of one windrow, these rakes can be set to form two separate windrows. This is particularly useful in carrying out tasks to speed up the drying process such as turning windrows and forming narrow windrows in heavy crop conditions
